This past year, Jack & Jill secured $3,000 to create a Reading Library for young kids at FAMILYConnections’ Main Office. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is planned.
The Chapter also secured a $10,000 grant from its National Foundation to support activities related to our Parents as Teacher Program, a home visitation program for expectant mothers and parents of children aged 0-36 months living in Essex County.
FAMILYConnections held its second annual Full Agency Retreat on September 30th at the JCC in Livingston. Over 130 staff attended – 7 Board members did as well. Morning activities included presentations the State of the Agency, Agency Accomplishments, and an overview of the Board of Trustee’s Strategic Plan Goals for the year. Morning activities were followed by a BBQ and Staff Recognition Event at the Clipper Pavilion near the Turtle Back Zoo. The day ended up being cold and rainy, but spirits were high and the event was a wonderful day for FAMILYConnections.
